Course Concept:

This course provides all the fundamentals needed to drill a well, whether shallow or complex, high-pressure. It is designed for engineers and field personnel involved in planning and executing drilling programs.

It covers all aspects of drilling technology, with an emphasis on both theory and practical application.

This course builds a solid foundation in drilling principles and practices, well planning, drilling fluids, drill string design, hydraulic optimization, and drilling problems. Participants will learn the components of the drill string and how to use each in optimal ways, as well as how to evaluate WOB and determine the appropriate drill collar size. Participants will also be able to apply practical solutions to analyze the performance of drill string designs for both vertical and directional holes.
